Recently, the TRX permission modification scam in fake wallets has been rampant. Scammers induce users to download fake Bitpie wallets and obtain their mnemonic phrases. After users transfer assets into the wallet, the scammers modify the user's TRX wallet account permissions, causing the assets to be only transferable in but not out.
If users are not careful, they may transfer more assets into the wallet with modified permissions. When the assets accumulate to a certain level, the scammers will transfer the assets out all at once, achieving the goal of "long-term fishing for big fish."
Bitpie wallet has long warned users whose wallet permissions have been modified. Once you receive a notification that your permissions have been modified, it means that your mnemonic phrase has been obtained by scammers using fake wallets, and you should not transfer any assets to that wallet again. Immediately stop using the mnemonic phrase to manage any assets.
In addition to inducing users to download fake wallets to obtain mnemonic phrases, scammers also set up various scams on social software such as Telegram to obtain users' wallet permissions. Please do not trust any strangers who contact you on Telegram or other social software. Bitpie wallet has long had no Telegram groups, and all Telegram groups claiming to be Bitpie official are fake.
