【Important】
When you create a BITPIE account, you will be prompted to back up 12 words, which are your account Recovery Phrase, equivalent to your "private key". Whoever has these 12 words will have the coins in the account. The 12 words are yours to keep and cannot be recovered if they are lost.
What do I need to know about keeping my Recovery Phrase?
1. It is best to copy the Recovery Phrase only onto paper or another cold medium (such as an ice armour word aid board) to copy it correctly and legibly. Keep it in an extremely safe place at home. The secret words should not be stored by taking photos on your mobile phone, or by using computer software, emails, netbooks, WeChat collections or other media.
2、Verify Recovery Phrase: Both new and existing users need to verify the correctness of their backed up mnemonics at the Wallet Settings - Verify Recovery Phrase. If you find here that you have not backed up or have lost your backup, please open the Show Recovery Phrase in the Wallet Manager to back up your account and only if you have backed up the correct Recovery Phrase can you continue to use your account.
3. If you have a BITPIE account, do not clear the BITPIE data, do not restore the factory settings, do not uninstall the BITPIE wallet, and do not format the phone. If you have coins in your account, you should be careful!
4. Do not disclose your Recovery Phrase to anyone, and do not expose your Recovery Phrase to the Internet! Anyone who asks you for your Recovery Phrase is a scammer!
5、For users who have lost, incorrectly verified Recovery Phrase, or improperly stored Recovery Phrase, do the following: Find another mobile phone, download and install BITPIE, copy and backup your new account Recovery Phrase, enter the bottom right corner of your wallet account home page Me - Wallet Settings - Verify Recovery Phrase at the verification pass, transfer all the coins in your current Recovery Phrase account that have not been backed up to your new account, and use the new account in the future, do not deposit coins in the old account.
Seriousness!
If you have lost your Recovery Phrase, or if you have made a mistake in backing up your Recovery Phrase, if you have uninstalled your BITPIE by mistake, or if you have lost the phone you installed your BITPIE on, you will not be able to recover the coins in your wallet, in short, if you have lost your coins, you will not be able to recover them!
