Creating a Wallet Account
After successfully downloading and opening the Bitpie wallet for the first time, the initial page will appear as shown in the image below. Please read the instructions carefully and follow them strictly! This is crucial for the security of your assets. When you first open the wallet, you will see two options: "Create Wallet" and "Restore Wallet." In this tutorial, we will use "Create Wallet" as an example.
- Click on "Create Wallet."
- Please read the instructions carefully and click to confirm.
- Do not take a screenshot of your mnemonic phrase or store it on your computer. Screenshots can lead to your mnemonic phrase being leaked. If someone else gets hold of it, they can easily transfer all assets from your wallet.
- Carefully and accurately write down your mnemonic phrase on paper. If your phone is ever lost or damaged, you will need these mnemonic phrases to restore your wallet account on another device. After writing down the backup, click "Verify."
- The page will display the mnemonic phrases in a random order. Click on them in the correct order as per your backup to complete the verification.

After the verification is successful, set a PIN code, which is a 6-digit number. You will need this PIN code each time you open the wallet or make a transaction. If you forget the PIN code, you can use the mnemonic phrase to restore the wallet and reset the PIN code.

After setting the PIN code, you can start using the wallet. Select the cryptocurrencies you need to activate, then switch to any of them to enter the wallet's homepage.

Click the bottom right corner of the homepage on "Me" – "Wallet Settings."

Click "Verify Mnemonic Phrase."

Enter the mnemonic phrases one by one to verify again if the mnemonic phrase backup is correct.
